the song is about a man who is about to be hanged, after proven guilty. the four men, were the kings soldiers, who had raped his daughter.

anders regrets nothin. if i dont get to heaven, i guess i will meet them again.



this swedish folksong got lyrics from the late cornelis vreesvijk, who was like a mix of pete seger and bob dylan and very loved in sweden and scandinavia. it is easy to find recordings by him.  originally i think the song came from ireland.
